Hello, I am looking for a laptop that can run smoothly overall but also play games like League of Legends easy. My budget is no more than $500, would be nice if it includes a good amount of memory and a mouse maybe

Mostly using this laptop for college though

In my experience, finding a laptop that handles games like League of Legends well are going to be slightly more expensive than your budget, but that is perceptive based on what you think handling it well is. However, I have the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] that is only slightly more than your budget, and would advise waiting just slightly longer to build up a larger budget. I primarily use it for school work and the occasional light programming, but I do play seemingly low-end games on a regular basis, including games such as RuneScape and Minecraft (although Minecraft is very CPU intensive).

This laptop is really nice for the price and the purpose because it's convertible, meaning that Microsoft OneNote paired with a fine-point stylus makes for a fantastic 15.6" notebook. The processor is an AMD quad-core FX-9800P APU (advanced processing unit) that comes with integrated Radeon R7 graphics. The processor itself has a base clock of approximately 2.7 GHz but can be bumped up to 3.5-ish. Aside from the 2MB cache (which is relatively normal for cheaper mobile processors, especially AMD processors) this processor outperforms most of the 6th generation Intel i5-series processors. Based on the price difference, Intel i5 processors being much more expensive, this AMD processor is the biggest bang for your buck.

Other specs: the memory is 8 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz, which is actually really nice for multitasking. It has a 1 terabyte mechanical HDD spinning at 5400 RPM, but can somewhat easily be swapped out for a faster HDD or a solid state that is 2.5".

What else is there to say? It's 1080p, lightweight, and performs superbly given that it's only $600. I bought this about a month ago before my semester began and have loved it ever since. I occasionally use a very power hungry application for programming on top of constant usage of the Microsoft Office suite and Google Chrome for YouTube, Facebook, and whatever else. The battery life could be better - it normally sits at around 3-4 hours per charge - but I really can't expect a very long battery based on what I do. I'd advise this laptop because it's practical, stylish, and affordable, but most importantly, it performs well and can more than likely topple any challenge thrown at it.

Good luck finding your laptop!
