Thought I would make a starter Pokemon background since the release of the new game so here it is. If you don't mind please give me some feedback. I'll probably come around to doing a big revamp once I'm not as busy.

Symmetry is what a lot of people look for, if you look at squirtles box, as compared to charmanders, it's a slight bit bigger. Photoshop has visual line guides that can help with this in future designs.

I like this one though because it's simple, which is how I prefer all my graphics, clean and simple

I rate is 6/10

Personally I'm not a huge fan of this much contrast in a work, and I'm not so sure what you did other than add a bevel and strokes to these? 3/10

The contrast makes sense for the context a little, due to the individual color of the Pokemon depicted, but yea it is pretty simple, some people like simple though, my only issue was the alignment lol

If that's the case, the Pokemon used should be colored complimentary to each other. I would definitely put this below "pretty simple". More work needs to be done than filling 3 areas with a color and putting renders onto them.

you have a pretty good point there, I think he chose those 3 though because in the whole series, they're the 3 Pokemon you start with in the beginning, but as for a background, there is quite a bit of contrast
