For me, I was in my hotel room one night while on vacation, it was pretty late, and I was flipping through channels and stumbled upon Naruto, which I remembered thinking was so cool when I was little, but didn't know the story at all since it would only come on Toonami when I was a kid, past my bedtime. So, I decided to go online and watch it from the beginning. This was three or four years ago now, but after I caught up with where the show was at the time, I started looking for "shows like it" which led me to an anime website with people talking about the best anime they knew of, where I found Mirai Nikki. So I watched all of that, then looked for more, which led me to Sword Art Online, which only had three episodes out, which got me hooked on SAO, which FINALLY got me to realize that anime in general is just awesome. So what got you hooked on anime?

Originally I watched Cardcaptors back when I was like 6 or 7 when it aired on Cartoon Network, it was enjoyable but not enough to hook me. I also watched One Piece around the same time but thought it was weird so I didn't really bother.
Skip forward to 2013 and some weeb called Naggy suggested I watch School Days; turns out he was joking about it but I didn't learn this until a year or two later. I watched it, I liked it, I found it comically amusing and decided to continue watching anime from thereon. I blitzed through Crunchyroll's UK repository and then had to branch out elsewhere. Sadly the first two years of watching anime was on sub 1mb internet speeds to I was stuck with SD on Crunchyroll and 360/480p everywhere else.

I think i was watching Netflix a few years ago and stumbled upon Fairy Tail.

When I was younger I used to always watch Naruto and Full Metal Alchemists on adult swim. Some time later I found some random anime on netflix and kinda just started watching them randomly. Nowadays I try to not watch as much anime as I tend to binge watch when I start lol.

My mom renting Pokemon VHS Tapes when I was like 5, then Digimon VHS Tapes, then some random black guy telling me to watch Shuffle! when I was 11, now I'm 16 watchin' the good stuff. *Wink, Wink*

Back when netflix allowed you to party up and watch shit together with friends/family. Me and a couple friends were bored and found Soul Eater. So we watched that and that's where I can say I finally started watching anime. Of course I watched DBZ, pokemon, yugioh, and all that good good back then but never consistently so I basically watched it whenever I saw it on tv.

My friends had told me I might enjoy anime and I should watch The Pet Girl Of Sakurasou since I really love romantic comedies so I decided to watch it one day and ever since then i've been hooked. Def one of my favorite animes to date

A few years ago my cousin kept pestering me to watch anime, it got annoying after a while so I finally decided to watch it after he told me to watch Attack on Titan and I've loved it ever since. I also watched things like DBZ and Pokmon but that was when I was a kid, I didn't properly like anime at the time.
