In regards to the post about the Member of the Month post, which currently has 167,043 views. How is it that only 178 of that number actually voted in the poll?
That equals out to only 0.001 percent of the viewers voted.

I was wondering the same thing as well, if you think there is 170K views there would be more then 178 votes...

Some people decide to check up on the topic, therefore adding another view. If you check on it multiple times a day, the number adds up.
However I do believe the vote amount is pretty low.

My guess would have to be a combination of:
- 99% of people viewing the topic aren't actively involved enough in the forums to recognize the mentioned users at all
- They're just looking at the thread to lurk with no intention of actually casting a vote.
I don't mean these things in a bitter way, it's just most users typically aren't going to have their own personal regard to cast a vote.

It accounts for total page loads, not unique views. Could be that someone kept refreshing the page, causing the page views to sky rocket. Also could be that people don't know the members that well, and don't want to vote.

maybe a lot of the users who viewed the poll do not know any of the users mentioned and therefor didnt vote? dont see why that many people wouldnt vote though

It is kind of sad that the ratio is this low but most of the view are probably from people coming back to view whos in the lead
