I was ready to reply on a thread on HF, but once I had typed out everything and hit submit it said I needed 25 prestige to post in the section. So, I would like to share my thoughts here on TTG. Everyone is welcome to share your dreaming experiences that you feel were interesting, have affected your life, or just left you wondering.

The original question was "Are you able to read in your dreams?"
Please no shitposts

Here is my response to that

Whenever I am dreaming and somehow find myself attempting to read, whatever words I am trying to read start changing rapidly and randomly to the point where I can't understand what is happening and I usually wake up sweating. Not sure if that's related but it tells me that I can't read in dreams.

I have also never been able to see a face in dreams. Every time im having a dream involving someone who I think I know who it is, whenever id try to see who it was, I'd wake up.

On another dreaming subject, while I was in my childhood I would have dreams about a black line moving smooth like a perfect loop gif across a white background but whenever the like would stray from the smooth path and change to a "rocky" pattern I would start getting stressed out and I would have to concentrate on getting the line on its smooth path again. Weird stuff that i don't understand. Hopefully most of you can interpret most of what I tried to show as I am usually bad at describing things.

I feel like this "smooth black line" dream has taught me to keep calm in unsteady situations because I would get very triggered when the line was unsteady. I'd wake up with a clenched jaw and have hate for myself. Anyways, that's the best I can describe my dream. Interestingly, my views on life have changed since I last had these dreams and I very rarely have dreams now.

Anyways, holy crap. I couldn't stop typing. I apologize for going on about my life as It really doesn't apply to this thread but I just felt I needed to type these next few sentences. You are welcome to read it but just know idgaf about how it looks or if you are able to understand it, its just there as a bonus. Just know that I believe dreams can change people and their outcome. This particular dream has taught me patience and staying on the right path/ not straying too far from where you want to go.

during my early years, I used to live for other people in ways knows as dressing to impress, doing whatever people asked me of, and even changing my ways to be "cool". i never did drugs or anything but Ive always been pretty book smart as well as street smart. As I started getting older I went through harder and harder times I believe that have started molding me to adapt and now I dont get jealous of what people have, I can live without things, etc. (lots of other things that would probably start sounding confusing because I kinda stopped caring about grammar already as I am just typing away about my life). Thinking about the black line dream now- as im typing- I feel it is a symbol for most things in life (ill let you figure what things they could be) which is why I see it applying to me so much because I live my life like that.
