Bare with me and be sure to read all if you care to help.

Hey guys for the most part i know i want a(n)
980 or better
i76700k
and 16gbs RAM
250SSD 1TB
Overclockable
but idk much (anything) about motherboards and power supplies and cases and things like that

I have a monitor, keyboard, mouse so that leaves room in the budget.

Any help with a build would be awesome.
Thanks In advance and remember you can max out budget at $1700-$1800USD preferably on a site where you can finance($1800 straight up is a ton of money.)

I plan to play CSGO and play single player games heavily modded (Fallout, Skyrim, etc.)

Wait for the 1080 to release. It comes out on the 27th of this month. Way better than a 980.

Thanks. Yeah, I'll look into that because I was not gonna pick this up until around the first week in June maybe a bit later. But once again thanks and greatly appreciated.

What monitor, keyboard and mouse do you have,
Will you overclock?
Do you need headset, speakers or anything?
Preferred colour scheme?

980 is trash, don't get one. 1080 benchmarks will be here in less than a week and release at the end of this month, that looks like your best option.

I don't think you'll be able to buy components on finance. Even if you could, I wouldn't recommend it. Newegg might have a program though, so if necessary, take a look at that.

Overclock Yes
I dont need a headset or speakers (I have Astro A40 TRs)
Colors: Black and Blue or White and blue either one is equally good to me.

1080p monitor does not make sense for your budget. You can keep the BenQ monitor and use it as a side panel if you want, but makes no sense as your main monitor. If you need the PC cheaper, get a GTX 1070 instead of the 1080, and/or a 1440p monitor instead of 4k.

Thanks for the build and yeah I'll look into a better monitor. Much appreciated. But Ill probably pick that up a little later from the rest of a build.

Best buy and newegg both have good finance options!
