I love it, The icon looks so sick and within the app looks alot more clean.

I would rather the other one but considering I only use Instagram once a week maybe I'm not too bothered

The new update...
New UI
though many people hate the new UI, it is obviously designed for simplicity, the new color scheme is easier for viewing in light areas, due to screens such as AMOLED, that have little to no good light area coloring.
The new design is sleeker and a little bit smoother / faster in some ways.
personally, everyone is used to the old bulky layout, which i can see why it annoys people, but in reality it is the exact same just smaller and lighter.
Everyone just needs to take the time to adjust..
New Logo
I can see why no one likes it, sure it was way to simple to make, but once again they're going with a sleek simplistic design, if you don't like it well, things change, and a major app like this is sure to have change at some point, you'll adjust.
Larger Layout
no this does not focus on the Menu bars, or anything related to menus.
The new design allows more picture / video space. which in some cases is better for some people.
personally it's too large for my phone in some aspects, a 21mp standing photo the res forces me to scroll and cut 1/3 of my picture from view on scroll.
Criticism from my views
Sure this update could've had a lot more added, and or fixed. Why did they make it so plain?
the new light theme is extremely unbearable at night (ridiculously bright)..
the logo I mean come on, they ruined the logo that everyone knew them for..
What could be added
Dark theme option
Color picker (theme option)
logo revamp
menu bar revamp
layout revamp in general.
This is just how i see everything this update everyone has different views.

I miss the old logo that looked like an old TV. All social media apps are going downhill in my opinion.

I prefer the old Icon to the new one but i guess it looks alright. The layout on the other hands is so clean. The colours contrast well with each other whilst creating that slick / kind of professional edge to it.

I've not updated and don't plan to I like keeping things as they are, I feel like this will be a Seasonal thing they'll do as it's kind of warm summer colours, or at least that's the vibes I got.
