I've got to go with dubbed only because I tend to watch anime while playing games and/or programming. I find it hard to pay full attention to one thing, so picking an anime that I can actually understand is necessary.

People always bad mouth dubs, its pretty sickening. Subs in its own right is a form of dub as its translated just like dubs, the difference is with dubs I know what they are saying and with subs I don't.

I prefer subbed over dubbed as I have seen some things ruined by dubbed

>that YouTube of Nico Nico nii dubbed was just over the top.

The only 2 animes I've watched that were dubbed was Pokemon Origins, which I watched on YouTube a while and at the time couldn't find subbed (guess you can count the original Pokemon anime too as I've seen a good majority of that as dubbed) and Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation, solely because I'm used to the voice actors from the games, which I have set in English, so I made that the only exception.

Subbed, I literally watch everything in Subtitles and i'm sure there are others on here that do the same because when i have Subtitles on if i can read something it helps me retain what i just heard and or read (obviously). But the biggest problem for me with Dubbed is since i watch everything with Subtitles a lot of the words that were originally spoken in Japanese are different in English which makes it so the words spoken in English are different than the Subtitles, which i found extremely annoying.

ex. Naruto

I prefer dubs to subs in Anime just because I like hearing the characters speak in my language, but I will also watch subs because it doesn't really matter either way to me.

People bad mouth dubs because the voice acting is often considerably worse than the original VA. Sentences are butchered (or in some cases, completely different than what is said in the sub) and some of the Japanese words sound awkward as the English voice actors try to say them correctly. There's nothing wrong with liking dubbed anime, it's just not my thing.
