Hello everyone! I just have a quick question in which a few people could help me out with. So before I get on my with my question my PC specs are below!

CPU - i7 4790k
GPU - GTX 980
(hopefully these are the main features you want to know)

So I am planning on getting a triple monitor setup however I still intend to use only one when gaming, since I upload videos to YouTube it would be nice to be able to edit, have social media and YouTube all on different monitors, my question was would this REALLY slow down my PC or would it just be fine as long as I stick to using one monitor for gaming.

It should be fine, It will impact it but not to a noticeable degree

I have 2 monitors running on a 970 no large load is put on it even when gaming, so you with a 980 should be good.
