So long story short, im a newbie that doesnt know much about pc's but im quite intrested in them tbh, and im also interested in playing games on it, and ive a few questions for all you pros..
1) would i be better of buying a custom built one or from companies like alienware for a common example/ pros / cons of doing so
2) what should i be looking out for when buying parts / a pc , eg. Ram , ghz , yada yada
3) im not sure on what my budget is probs up to £600-750? Can go more if I really need to but yeah

Sort of just looking a brief walkthrough on what i some be doing when thinking of buying a gaming pc

thanks in advance for anyone that can help!

Alienware is for loooks... if you want a good looking one then go there but for good performance would recommend custom build.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Decent website for building a PC, pick what you want then it will tell you if it is all compatible with each other... I know you may not know much so might not know what to chose but just work with your budget... Also see what the specs are for the games you want to play, such as what recommended/minimum Ghz you would need and how good the graphics card needs to be.

Hope this helped but try and do some research on just how good your PC is going to need to be to run the games you want to play

Self built is always better and cheaper imo, however if you have an ARIA pc nere you.

i recommended one from there to a close friend of mine

this pc runs tom clancys the division on ultra at 60fps, and is very upgradeable from ram to basically everything, also a nice stylish case

1. A custom built PC will almost always be cheaper than a prebuilt PC. In my opinion, building your own is the way to go.

2. Most gaming rigs have atleast eight gigs of ram. As for the processor and graphics cards, well that depends on the games you want to play. Two of the most popular cards are the "gtx 750ti", and the newer "gtx 950". You might want to look up benchmarks of both of these cards.

3. You can build a decent PC with that budget, but do you need a monitor or Kb+M?

1) Building one is always the way to go.
2) You need a CPU + Cooler, Motherboard, RAM, Storage, GPU (when not on a low budget), Case and PSU.
3) What is your max budget? Do you need a monitor/keyboard/mouse? What will the PC be used for?
