Everyone grows up sometime man. There's more important things in life than fun. Only you can figure out how to motivate yourself. Good grades are important. I dropped out of school but I'm lucky enough to have a job. Not everyone gets that opportunity. Appreciate the life you could have if you do things right.

It`s not about the fun. I used to have good grades have fun making videos. The thing is I want to have good grades and want to make videos but I can`t make my self do anything in life anymore I hate everything i do.

By the sounds of it you are depressed try find a new hobby or something or a part time job to keep you busy.

To be brutally honest man, maybe you should stop worrying about enjoying virtual things and worry about enjoying real life. This stuff only takes you so far for so long. Perhaps focusing on finding a girlfriend or something of that sort. Something that will actually benefit you.

I have had that issue with staying interested in things recently as well. I'm 18 and currently failing the 3rd marking period in 3 classes. I had straight A's the first 2 quarters and now I'm just getting to the point where I don't care. I hardly attend school probably 40+ Unexcused absences and I'm currently trying to work on it for my future and what I want to do when I get out of school. I mean that's my motivation. I want to make money and not have to worry about getting the things I need or the things my family needs. That and I want to make my mom proud.

On the second thing you mentioned I also have lost interest in the games I used to play. (ie. Call of Duty) Mainly I think due to the fact of the futuristic content that they all currently hold. I find it very unappetizing for my thirst of adventure and excitement. I've really been into Arma 3 lately though, but as the user above said, everyone eventually grows up. Sometimes not when we want to.

I was in the same boat as you, but I got a part time job and now I feel a lot better. I am also 16, just try and find something else that you enjoy

take time to understand yourself.find what matters the most and run with it
