I'm sure he can file a claim with the card company. Also get his account closed and transfered to a new number.

Just ring the bank and eventually it will be paid back to you.

I doubt they can track them down. They will have to just close his card and give his money back. But you never know with technology these days.

Tell him to contact the bank and they will get the money back.

I was thinking with the technology surely somthing can be resolved, I mean if the card was deposited into a website, the person either gambled it.. Or they withdrew it, so if they withdrew it surly they should be able to find the card it went to and bingo have all there details?

Authorities aren't going to track someone down for £200
He could've gambled it online with a VPN, making it even harder track which isn't worth the trouble for only £200.
He can get it back by just contacting bank and being more careful with his card

Yes easy.

Go to your local bank, he needs to tell his own bank what he's with and explain the story. They will look into it, they will tell him to close down his bank for security seasons. If the bank thinks he got robbed by someone and stole his £200 the bank will owe him back £200. Then he needs to apply for a new bank card. This is what happened to me and I got the money back. This story is similar story the reason why half of the money went out of my bank for some odd reason. If not the bank he is with is shit. He needs to work his ass of to get his £200 back. Good luck to him..
