So me and some friends picked up a retro RCA DSP3 camera from Goodwill to shoot some retro style pornos with, ($10, how tf could you pass that up?) it works and all, but only if it's plugged in directly to the battery charger via a DC 9.6V cable. The battery is presumed to be shot, but this is where I need assistance. It didn't come with a manual and I can't find one online. The battery charger has two red lights; POWER and CHARGE. They stay steady for maybe like 20 minutes then they start flashing in sync continuously. They go back to steady if I slide the battery off then back on and repeat; 20 minutes steady then flashing. I just want to figure out of the charger is supposed to flash or if it means the battery is faulty or something. I haven't had it plugged in long but after about an hour I put the battery in the camera and it did not turn on. I don't really expect much help but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try.

Charger + (presumed shot) battery
If you look close, you can see both the lights are on, but as of right now, they're in their flashing stage.
