I've just finished building my computer and installed Windows 7 prof. And I'm trying to check for windows updates and it's not doing nothing it just keeps checking for like the past 2 hours and I've tried all the trouble shoot tools help plzz.

If that doesn't work connect your PC with an Ethernet cable to your modem
