So I got a Samsung 850 EVO 250gb for Christmas and a SATA to USB cable, I installed all the software and everything, the only thing I'm wondering is, do I need another cable for this to work properly and do I need to mount it in my Pc?

I'm confused to as what you're talking about.


SSDs never get hot, so get some electrical tape and stick it on top of your HDD if you don't got a slot.

All you need to run an SSD is, a power cord from PSU, and a SATA cable to your motherboard.

Alright thanks, I want to just install my OS and my steam games onto it, whats the easiest way to do all this?

Plug it in and install..

Like you would with any other storage device...
