I heard someone say that you can play a game you family shared with a person at the same time on different consoles. Is this true?

Yes they will need your account on their xbox, when your account is on their xbox they need to go to the option in settings and make your account their home xbox.

You will also need to do this with their account on your console otherwise it won't work.

They don't need to set your Xbox as their home Xbox, just you on theirs.

I hope that made sense

Also, if you do this, only your profile will be able to play downloaded games on your xbox. So if it's a shared console, best not to do this
