So for some reason my 128GB Micro SD is now only showing as 23GB. Just recovered my files from it which were 50GB+ so i know it's a genuine card, just why is it down to 23GB?

I will Rep 200 to anyone who solves this and 50 for useful help.

if you already got everything off your card

you need to reformat it.

my computer >> right click >> format

somedevices for programs can partition it or format it automatically

Tried both of them before, format does nothing and cleaning in diskpart comes with an I/O error.

Have contacted Sandisk warranty, hopefully they can replace it. It comes with a 10 year warranty. But thanks for trying, repped you both 50.

It sounds like it is partitioned so that only 23GB is usable, have you not tried right clicking on it > format > restore device defaults.

Same thing was happening to me but with my actual hdd. Go find a spare 2gb-4gb usb and put a live ubuntu image on it. Once you've done taht, boot it up, put the flashdrive in, on ubuntu type in 'disks' then hit enter. Find your SD and format it as NTSF (If there's an option). Once you've done that, go to windows, reformat it as FAT32 (I think) and then it should be fixed (We hope)
