ChangsITSupport wrote If you are overclocking then yes that would be fine, but I would stick with the Xeon, overclocking is a bit of a hassle and you pay a premium for the unlocked chip.
Out of the few replies i got finally someone answering the question haha thanks man i'll have a look

You're maxing your budget there with only 2 components when you also need to look at getting new RAM (Yours isnt great) and you also want a new case and PSU.

You dont even know his case/PSU. Also, what is wrong with his RAM? RAM is RAM. Its fine. HE could always get more to get 16gb, but as of now he should be fine with 8gb. Just dont make assumptions.

It's running at the standard speed for DDR3.

OP-Don't buy a 4790k. Makes no sense to upgrade from your H67 board to Haswell, when there are already replacements for the 4790k. Either buy an SB/IB Xeon/i7, or just upgrade to Skylake.

Thats the speed of one single RAM stick. Multiply those by two, it'll be somewhere around 1300, which is the average speed. Dont post if you dont know what you're talking about.
