I have not been prompted to get an update and I finna be playing gears 3 so any idea why this is happening? Thanks rep will be delivered out to any help

You should wait 15 mins while your Xbone is fully shut down then try again and go to settings, system, update console.

go to settings, system update and it will do it from there, didn't prompt me to update till I clicked on that
