Hey guys

I've been asked by my friend to find someone to put together a pc build for him. He wants it for animation. His budget is £900 but he wants to spend as little as possible

Many thanks

Yea a monitor, keyboard and mouse are required.

He said he will probably do a little gaming on it but mainly wants it for animating

GPU will be great for gaming, no SSD, 8GB of RAM, SLI support

OR

Weaker GPU, SSD, 16GB of RAM, Crossfire support

Which would you recommend for animation. I have no idea what you look for in a computer for animation

If he isn't gaming much, then the second build definitely.

Little bit over, added nice cooler, could easily add another 380 in XFire, nice 250gb SSD, benifit from the Xeon bc of Hyper-threading

X99 option, only if your friend can go over.

Slightly under budget, 1440p panel, mech keyboard, nice mouse, XFire support if need be. 380 will handle gaming well, and editing/rendering or whatever. You'll want to add an SSD asap though.

Oops, meant to go with Enthoo Pro M but swapped it for N200 in the end.

OP- If you went with this option, you'd need to get an ATX case, like an Enthoo Pro M for a bit more, or if you wanted something cheaper, a Bitfenix Comrade would do. Otherwise, get this mATX mobo;
