So this could be a TIFU (Today I F*cked Up) post on Reddit but it's probably not meaty enough for there.

Basically my DIY Skills are usually alright but today they have been absolutely terrible. I bought 2 new monitors and the aim was to wall mount them. Now I got one wall mount up eventually after 2 hours because my drill kept dying (out of charge) and I couldn't get it to go on right. Then managed to get the monitor on and then realised, that I'd installed it too high and I'd be breaking my neck to even see it... I then moved this down a bit (having to thus drill new holes again).

So anyway, I moved onto the next monitor and did the mount for that and got it aligned with the last one. Then came the fun part, I hadn't realised I hadn't left enough space so the monitors now overlap in the middle. I was at this point so fed up so now I'm stuck with monitors overlapping in the middle and one is more tilted than the other. I also think I may have broken one of the mounting holes in one of the monitors too.

In conclusion (TL;DR) - I tried to do DIY, the wall mounting went well then failed. The monitors now overlap. I'm mad, said to myself I'll fix it tomorrow, in reality I'll still have overlapping monitors next year and one will still be more tilted.

Anyone else had any DIY disasters?
