Normal people pledging over $2k on the idea that the game is going to be good is really annoying and idiotic. A side of me wants the game to be to be more than what we expect and another side wants the game to fail tremendously and forever leave a stigma on crowdfunding for gaming. that's just my opinion. I get its their money and they can do what they want, but these are just normal people with the 90% of them only pledging the money that they do for ships, supporting the game is just a bonus and a cover story in their eyes...

Like you said, it is their money and their choice. Just don't worry about them. We know for a fact the game is in development so it is highly unlikely they can get scammed.

I've got about $500 backed on the game. But you're wrong with your point of view. Any backer putting more than 2K in the game knows one thing: You can get the ships in game. It doesn't matter.
In the end, if you want a Capitol Ship that would cost you thousands for plediging..You can go into the game and steal it off of someone/the military. They've already announced that and it's confirmed.
Star Citizen will be a great game. People don't look at it as they should. They expect things that big companies put out. Rockstar used 200+ Million dollars to make GTA V and it's very basic and still has bugs. CIG only used 90+ Mil and they've far exceeded the thoughts and expectations that gaming has had, even for the PC. Chris Roberts is treating this like his own child! He was forced out of the Gaming Genre for 12 years after being on a Non-Compitition clause against Microsoft because of the original Wing Commandar. Chris will do it right. Not for us. But for him. It's not just something he's using to get money. It's his dream to make this game.
