So you come home from a weeks worth of work where you have to stay at your grannies with poor internet and you cant relax. You finally get home and think, yeah il check my bank balance to see if i have enough money to get that game i have been looking forward to for the past year.

Suddenly there are charges adding up to around £100 on your card, you phone the representative company's help desk to try and get a grasp on the situation. after a long time of talking they explain to you that someone has most likely stolen your card details and has been using the card to buy various products.

So now you have to phone your bank and ask for 1. Investigations into the payments 2. a new card.

Some people in the world disgust me and i have lost a lot of faith in using my card online. (even though i never use my card directly i just use paypal).

here is the transactions i encountered

Now I'm sure your sitting there thinking, but wait those are real looking xbox charges. I did too until i ringed up microsoft (my representative company) and there was no trace of these payments anywhere.

I actually did just look at what the bill.ms.com took me too, you will never guess what it is... A PAGE for helping people with unknown microsoft transactions... also all my real transactions had LU, not IE. what da hell is IE...

Rant over, sort of. (i'm pretty mad).

I can imagine anyone else who has had this would also be pretty mad...

There just some fat kid who lives in their Mums basement and can't get a job so they steal credit card information. And the person spent it on Xbox stuff so yeah, that kinda supports my argument.

Something I would recommend is text alerts. If possible, you can have your bank text you any time your card is used. That way you can react to fraudulent charges a little quicker. Its something that I have that Wells Fargo, my bank, does for free.

This happened to me while i was in college.

Over drafted my account -$230 some.

It took me 9 months to get my money back and all the fines taken care of. Such a hassle, people are pathetic.

Just be more careful next time about losing credit cards or misplacing them or what have you. Sucks to be on the receiving end of fraud, but if you let people they will take advantage.

Cancel the card, tell them its stolen so that they might possibly refund what was taken, and then get a new card and be more careful.
