So after hours searching the internet for an explanation of what "Other" is in storage, I've finally figured it out. "Other" is pretty much everything you thought you deleted but is still there. Before i removed most of mine it was taking up a whopping 77GB [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

So after searching i found that all you need to do is delete a few things and uninstall unused applications. One main thing that must be deleted is your "Cache" files. I was unsure if it was safe to delete the folder so this nice application helped me out greatly. Its called "OmniDiskSweeper" and its free! After i used it it brought my "Other" down to about 34GB [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Although this is still a lot, a good amount is taken up by apple for the software. So what you have to do to get rid of your annoying "Other" is download "OmniDiskSweeper" and play around with it looking at where most storage is being taken up. Also, delete your downloads, and anything you don't need out of your documents folder. Also delete any unwanted applications. If you have any questions feel free to comment or PM me

Awesome, I'll definitely check this out on my laptop. I have so much useless crap on there that I need to get rid of.
Thanks!
