There's homeless people who seek help and want to get back on their feet. Then there's the ones that are there to take whatever they can inbetween doing drugs and committing crimes.

I always think about it like that.

The two types are different in the street also.

The ones who want help and to get back on their feet are the ones that won't ask you for money, they're the ones that will sit down and not ask but when you give them either money or food they really appreciate it. It's interesting to have conversations with these people, even if it's a short one they're always interesting.

Then there's the other type, the ones that will approach you and ask for money, usually with some BS story about how they need to get a train or something. I see them near where I work.

Maybe I'm wrong and they just have different approaches.

I've had a few experiences with homeless people. Some I really do genuinely feel sorry for. Others, not so much.

I went to Atlantic City, New Jersey last year (It's a gambling town, casinos everywhere), but I didn't go to gamble. I'm underage, I wouldn't even be allowed. If you've ever been to Atlantic City (or just heard about this) then you know that the game Monopoly is based on the cities 'main' streets. From Baltic Avenue (the ghetto) up to Boardwalk (obvious ly the boardwalk at the beach). We were on our way to the Board walk, but my stepmom wanted to stop by CVS and get extra sunscreen. Well, this CVS is right near Baltic Avenue. While in the parking lot waiting for my parents to come out of the store a homeless man approached our car and tapped on the window (I had headphones in and didn't see him) After I heard the tap I looked over and he's just standing there. So, I open the door and get out, and tell my younger brother to lock the door. He asked me if I had any money becuase he didn't to get on a train and go home. He said he would need $60 to get home. I turned around and looked in the car, and my father had left a few dollars on the floor on the driver's side, so I assumed the man had to have seen it. I gave the man the money and told him that's all I had on me. It was around $15 or so. He thanked me and left.

Now, after my dad and stepmom come out of the store, we left and started to go to the beah side of the town, near the casinos.

I saw the same man walk into a small casino, not a huge one with a hotel in it. A small casino, and ONLY a casino.

The man lied to me, and probably had done the same thing to others that same day.

Another incident also occurred last year.

I went on a school trip for a Sports Marketing class, it was at Camden Yards (Baltimore Orioles). There was a woman sitting outside, on the way to the stadium.

She had a sign that said something like "Mother of 3, Layed off, will except anything". I approached her with two of my friends and I asked her how old her kids were, what their names were, and if she was married or dating anybody. Know, keep in mind I wasn't being rude, I even sat down beside her. SHe told me what I wanted to hear, and I actually did believe her. But, this was after the incident in Atlantic City, so. I took an extra precaution. I told her to lift up her shirt, to reveal any stretch marks. My mother had three kids, and we'll. It leaves marks. So, if we was telling the truth she would have had stretch marks. She lifted up her shirt just so I could see her stomach, and he did have stretch marks. I told her that I was greatful she didn't lie to me. I gave her $200, and she repeatedly thanked me. She genuinely was a good person.

There are always going to be incidents like the two I encountered. I just would appreciate if they didn't lie to me. If you're planning on lying, it better at least be a good one.

Fox actually went undercover and followed each one of them home one night. They followed them to the local bus than they took a short ride across town to there vehicle. Which by the way was brand new! Fox then followed them back to there home. These people lived in the nicest parts of town with very nice houses. I went to college for five years and I easily clear six figures and these people had nicer houses than me! Not only were they well set off they also had husband/wives and children! Fox projected that if they work forty hours a week they would be pulling in over six figures! All in cash! It's outrageous seeing these so called "homeless people" take advantage of others. Ever sense that segment released the amount of homeless people tripled here. It's sad. Excuse the spelling errors.

You act like every homeless person is like this, they're not. Most are real homeless, yes there's some people that fake it to get money, but think if you were homeless, and 70% of the community, thought you did drugs and barely anyone paid you money, then you would hate it too. There's a lot of people just trying to get by. But they simply can't do that. They even help out other people, I've seen so many videos now, homeless people are probably nicer than 90% of the community. I'd rather have people as nice as homeless people then people just telling you to get cancer on xbox.
Only if everyone was as nice as they were.

If I was homeless I would have more self respect than to stand on the road begging for money. I would go out and find a job no matter what the cause. People these days don't know how to go out and work hard for a living. They want everything handed to them. I have no respect for homeless people. They're homeless for a reason. They don't know how to handle money and addiction.

You have not seen the true people that sit in the streets and beg, I know a guy whos friend pretended to be homeless for around a month and gathered enough money to go on holiday with his family, people see this as a full time job

It's wrong to just assume all homeless people want money for drugs, Yes some do, but maybe its just to help them get through the horrible reality of living on the streets of a big city / town. On the other hand though, some people are generally starving to death and a simple £5 / $10 can go a long way for them to get some food to help them through the day!

People living on the streets dont choose to be homeless, some homeless people also have no family out there to help them. It's wrong to judge them just cause there's some homeless people that are addicted to Drugs and Alcohol

Most homeless people get there self homeless because of the use of drugs, it gets to the point where there not bothered about anything but drugs. Then you get the homeless people that have no money due to gambling and other stuff,
