There is old rap that is wack and there is new rap that's wack.
This new generation of rap seriously has some real potential. however there's a lot of fakes in the industry.

Personally my favorites are both a mixture of old and new and I don't see anything wrong with the newcomers, usually the people complaining about "new rap" are youngsters trying to act cool (i'm quite young myself)

but yeah
1. MF DOOM
2. Ghostface killah
3. Travis Scott
4. Drake
5. Joey Badass

The monotonous dumbed down rap music of today appeals to the dumbed down braindead people of today. There are some great rappers out there, none of which are ever mentioned in the Music forum primarily because they aren't on the television or on the radio.

Ever heard of Qwel? Ive made a few posts on him and never got a reply, people have made threads about underground rappers. I even made a thread about my top 5 favorite Floridian rappers.. not a single reply. Its out there its just people dont wanna pay attention to it.

Not all rap "nowadays" is boring and repetitive, just the radio man *ahippya*
