Hey guys,
Just like any guy in this world, I want to lose weight and be ripped.

I'm not fat, overweight or anything, I'm just average with no lean muscle on my body other than my legs from playing football (Soccer for Americans).

I just wanted to know if anyone who is ripped, or that has lost weight and kept to what they did, how did you get the will power? I quit after a week every time.

Also, does anyone know of any books that go into will power or anything that may help?

I know it's random but I think this would also help a lot of people other than me too.

I have always been going to the gym for 4 days a week and going for runs on days when not attending the gym. With exceptions of days when I can't due to work. I have always gone with the aim of building muscle mass and going for looks instead of being lean. However, I recently toned up and lowered my body fat as I was going on holiday. In order to do so I lowered my carb intake and done a lot more cardio. I have never had a problem with not having the will power or quitting as I have always stuck at it. Throughout life for me personally, attending the gym and sticking at it has helped me massively. With my job a(security) nd especially with girls (not being big headed) but girls like a man with a good physique. Your diet is most important, so eat well. Secondly, put in plenty of effort as the gym. The next day when it's hurting its a good thing because you know the exercises worked.

As for books, I have only ever looked at one in relation to working out. This was a book called the Encyclopedia of modern bodybuilding by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

One thing you can do to motivate yourself is by watching Youtube videos of other people achieving what you want to achieve. Also take photos of yourself to see the progress you are making, so you can look back at those photos and see what you have achieved and why you shouldn't give up.

Thanks man, this has helped. Is there any chance you can hit me up with a diet? Obviously not a complete one, but something to just help?!

Thanks! Yeah, the taking of pictures thing has helped recently, but I fall off track too easily. I think watching those videos daily would help though!

All I can tell you is find a physically demanding job man. Nothing is going to give you the will power (except maybe death, but that's kind extreme?). When I started working I was the fat kid in the back of the class getting picked on. By the next year I still looked fat but I could put those bullies on the ground lol. Get a job doing cement work, that's pretty physically demanding.

I already have a job working at a supermarket which involves carting around heavy goods between warehouse and lorries, all that stuff. Just don't seem to bulk up!
