A cure for cancer would take countless researches, scientists, etc.
You'd have to hire a huge group of sociopaths with their only motive being money for something like this to work. Even then they still might leak a cure being found to the press it out of spite if you pissed them off, which is too risky.

There is no single cure for cancer. There are so many strains and some patients react positively to certain treatments and others don't.

Adding to which, a lot of medical research is done through private sectors... not government bodies. This includes corporate companies and universities; they have would have no intention of funding research costing hundreds of millions of dollars just to keep it a secret.

I know these types of conspiracies keep going because they make a bold statement about the government but they are simply so illogical that it's pitiful to think some people stand by them.

Its probably a couple man behind it, like for say the diamonds they dont cost that much and easy to mine but only a couple people own the diamond industry so they can put what ever price they want on it because of supply and demand if they are the only ones supplying then they can say whatever price they want, just like cancer if only a couple people know the cure they dont want to give it out because all the money they are making by keeping it a secret. im sure soon enough it will be released since im sure not everyone is evil and greedy

Everyon'es defense to them having it: It stops overpopulation. Were already over populated. Cancer is a slow killing disease. Not a 'You get it and die in a couple days' type of thing. No, that wouldn't be the reason.

Money would be the biggest reason, as everyone also points out. It is a big factor, people donate to it all the time in hopes of a cure. Surely they've found something by now. But you never really know.

There was an episode of Family Guy on last night talking about this. Carter Pewterschmidt (Lois's father) had cured himself and kept the cure a secret until Brian and Peter found out.

Some people always say that Family Guy predicts a lot of real-world events and talks about various conspiracies, so maybe there's some truth in it. I also believe there are many ways to treat Cancer that the Government don't even touch upon for some unknown reason.

i believe they must have something to cure cancer , or maybe they are still working on a cure for cancer , but the government is one big secret orginization they hide alot of things from us , the government is so much more powerful than we think they are , and thats a fact.
