Ok, so i bought this MW Gut Knife Case Hardened, and the play side seems to be more than 50% blue, could it be more? How much do you think this is worth? I will take the name off before trading XD. But, is it worth more than 90 bucks? [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

It could but actually trading it will take a while. Most people don't like gut knives or case hardened. You would have to find someone that is willing to trade for more and that is almost impossible. I looked at a lot of gut knives on market and yours is better than most and the blue is on the ps. I don't trade with case hardened skins because of the difficulty trading them so my knowledge is pretty limited. My advice would be to wait for a good trade because the people willing to pay more than market are going to be looking for good gut knives.

People want a case hardened knife. It just depends on what it looks like on the PS if its shitty then they wont want it. If its all blue or at least have a lot of blue then you can trade it might take a bit of time but you can trade it. But for the gut knife part that is true people dont like gut knives at all. But the case hardened is just it depends on how much blue is on it.

I never said people don't like case hardened knives I just said that majority don't so trading with them to make profit is hard. I see people put no case hardened in the description almost as much as gut knives and I don't think the amount of blue would matter to them. I personally don't like case hardened skins at all and I am that way. If I was offered a blue gem making it extreme overpay I would still have to debate if I wanted to accept or not yet if I got an offer for something like a fade, doppler or tiger tooth it would be the easiest decision. It may be worth more but I do not think it looks good so it's still a hard decision. If you have experience trading you know people hate overpaying. Someone who doesn't mind paying more than market as well as liking both gut knives and case hardened skins sounds rare to me. My personally opinion is that if you get a case hardened skin you should plan on keeping it because it's not the type of skin you want to use to trade up with. This issue I find with overpaying and I think a lot of people over look is the price. Every knife has its patterns and there are obviously favored patterns. The doppler for example. People are fine with phase 1,2 dopplers but I have never seen someone call a case hardened sexy when it barely has any blue. Case hardened skins are almost impossible to trade unless there's a ton of blue which is rare. Like you said even when there is a lot of blue it can be hard to trade. I have flipped a ton of knives the same day I got them. If people were the same way about color as dopplers it would be like people only liking sapphire or ruby knives.

Because of the blue and lack of the black crap case hardened stuff can get i'd say its above market price, how much i cant really say. But then youve got the issue of it being a gut knife.

Good luck with trading it.

Is it above market price, but not by much. While the playside is 50% blue, what's the backside like? A lot of people care about what both sides look like, but right now, a 50% blue playside, is worth a little more than market price. 40-50% blue isn't too common, but still common enough.
