The reference design isn't that good for performance and the aftermarket designs would be much better.

The aftermarket ones almost always offer better cooling so you can overclock them more and get better performance. They're usually not as loud also.

Most people only get the reference design for 1 of 2 reasons, 1 because they love the metal design of it or 2, they are going to watercool it. More waterblocks available for reference card.

The evga one will perform better though and has better cooling.

K|NGP|N card's aren't worth it unless you have a shit ton of cash to spend or are going to be doing balls to the wall overclocking, as it has a LN2 Bios. But i doubt OP will be doing that...

If you get a card with support for a Corsair G10 cooler thingy then yeah, don't see why not.
