Today, I got into a debate with some co-workers regarding the quality of skill players have between Xbox One and Ps4.

On the Xbox, I said that typically it targets the more hardcore, competitive based gamers. My argument was that players on games on the Xbox one typically excel because they bought the xbox looking for a more everyday, competitive feel, type of console.

My reasoning was tat Ps4 typically seems to target a more of a casual gamer crowd. As part of being casual gamers, they don't play games with the same dedication as people do on the other console.

This isnt a debate on which console is better, it's more of the quality of player. I understand that not everyone on Ps4 is horrible, and not everyone on the Xbox is amazing, I'm saying that for the overall masses, ps4 targets a casual, less intense gamer while xbox is aimed more at the everyday social gaming experience.

This argument in particular was for the game Destiny. In my experience, players on xbox were typically better than those on Ps4.



Tell me what you guys think. I'm not arguing which is better. Just trying to see if anyone has both and has personal experience that could swing either way. From my understanding, xbox was always aimed to more serious gamers while ps4 is more casual.

Humor me and let me know how the Nintendo players play into this whole argument.
