I recently got a new graphics card because my other went to hell, the graphics card is working but when I plugged in my VGA & everything it said my PC need to be recovered! Here is my problem in extent;

When I boot my pc goes straight to:

"Recovery

Your PC needs to be repaired

The Boot Configuration Data file doesn't contain valid info for an operating system.

File: /BCD
Err. Code: 0xC0000098

You will need to use the recovery tools on your installation media..."

The problem is I never saved my recovery tools to usb or burned it to a disc. Oh.. and I've tried recovering it with the regular recovery software It says "Unable to reset your PC. A required drive partition is missing." So, Since I didn't save the recovery tools nor have any of the orginal disc for my PC, Will I have to reinstall Windows, or do something more serious like replace my Hard Drive? Or if there is an easier way please help me. Thanks

Try installing a fresh operating system that should do the trick, when you get to the part where it asks where you want to save the OS too, do the following

Press SHIFT+F10 (loads up CMD Prompt)

Type 'Diskpart' then enter

then 'list disk' then enter

then it will show you the disks

you want to type 'select disk 0/1' or whatever disk has the data on it. (press enter after)

then type 'clean' then enter

Then cross out of CMD and install it to the unallocated space(or create a partition and install it there)

might not be 100% right as that's off the top of my head

will look like that ^ not going to do the last step myself as i don't want to clean my HDD.
