hahah i was in comp sci back and school and we went behind the proxy to do the same, cops came to intimidate us nerds and that was the only punishment.

Disagree, if the school can't get decent firewalls to stop them going on them websites, it's there own fault. but surely you don't even need WiFi, can't you just get 3g or 4g or something?

I don't think it's right they shut off the internet. They should just have a fireware just like what my school has. Blocks all games, music, almost everything except for educational purposes.

I disagree. Poor decisions by a few idiots should not negatively impact the rest of the school.

Agree and il explain why. Im in the IT Technicians shoes right now. I work in a school doing that job and we had a year 8 watching Zoo pornography in the school. We had to shut down the WIFI as an emergency measure to protect the students from watching this illegal activity.

They found a loophole which needed to be fixed from outside the school. This takes time and as such, the WIFI was off for a few days whilst they blocked everything they could.

Pornography should not be watched at school and as such, students [and teachers if they where to] should be disciplined. Its partly the IT Supports fault too for not blocking the website[s]

Well I'm sure there was more than this that happened in order for them to shut off the wifi. Maybe it's happened before etc.

Lol, these types of websites should all be blocked in the first place as a security measure so that students don't visit these sites. Who ever was in charge of security its his fault.
