This rant is about the modded lobbies forum.

The update that came out for it making you able to buy stickies and also the "Unverified lobbies" part i think is a bad idea and have since i first saw it, i used to host quite alot of lobbies for people on TTG but this update i think made the modded lobbies forum terrible, Stickies used to be something you worked for and they were hard to get for a reason because you earn alot of money from them now there is so many stickies its ridiculous anyone can get a sticky now so the "services" aren't as good anymore, And the "Unverified lobbies" or whatever its called part isn't such a bad thing letting people know but it makes it more annoying to use the forum.

The worst thing about this update not as many people host now and it seems like the modded lobbies section has turned to shit its no where near as good as it used to be most of the posts now are people selling lobbies or people posting about fake lobbies, when i used to host 10 minutes of not having proof and your post was deleted and you got a warning now i see lots of posts where they have no proof and it seems like they dont ever get deleted.

If you see a post without proof just do what they ask and just report the thread because I host legit and I put proof but my threads still get deleted so I am thinking about swapping sites this new updated thread just ruined most people on TTG rendering the section useless... I 100% agree

its no where near as good as it used to be

There was never a standard to be upheld to begin with. Me and some other members used to report thousands of threads on a daily basis (that being, ~>70% of threads) in order to try and hold back the, for lack of better words, absolute garbage within that section. It was never good and while you may have not of noticed it due to the efforts of the moderation team, people were getting scammed left right and centre and circumvention of existing rules was blatant and widespread. Also, barely anyone hosted to begin with due to widespread scamming across most alleged hosters. It was disgusting and a detriment to the site and its members.

The recent "revamp" of the section has actually created leverage for legitimate and trusted hosters to not only be recognized by newer members of the community, yet also to receive monetary benefits for their services. These being two things that did not happen before this revamp and that were desperately needed. On your level as a "super legit lehoster" it may seem a little frustrating, but i can guarantee you that the quality and security of the section on a user level has increased exponentially with your frustration. This meaning less scamming reports, less work for the moderation team, less uncertainty and inconvenience among users and a mutually beneficial relationship being created between hosters and the website (instead of the lingering hostility that existed beforehand).

The section was at its peak of terrible before this revamp. And the revamp has definitely been a good thing. Maybe not for you. But for most others.

THIS IS MY OPINION I DO NOT CARE IF YOU DON'T AGREE THIS IS MY OPINION

Keep it to yourself then.
Also this very heavily implies that you care

Sean has made it so only 10 stickies are allowed at a time. I agree that they should be earned by vouches and respect BUT these types of things allow the Forum to pay the bills and for that reason, it's a good idea. It's not like they're going to make a scammers thread a sticky...

There was only one sticky in that section for the longest time before the update, and it wasn't uncommon to see users ask if they could buy a sticky in that section. Not only does the money help the site out but it's also a positive for the users purchasing the sticky since a lot of them are getting their money back plus more when buying a sticky. Threads are still being deleted in a timely manner, fast enough to keep the legitimate hosting threads at the top of the forum page.

Threads aren't deleted for a reason, if you're having trouble keeping a post up PM me with what you're posting and I will check everything to ensure there are no issues with it.

All sticky holders are investigated VERY hard. A random person that doesn't even host can't just go and buy a sticky and expect to keep it. Staff always looks into your profile, post, and proof.

Not trying to act like staff. BUT, I know that from experience

Being on this site for so long I completely agree with you.

Th most faithful hosters and the best of the best used to have stickys and that it what it should be.

BUT staff needs money and it's an easy way to get it.

I miss the old days where thousands of people would just try to get in from the stickys and that was so much fun trying to get in those lobby's back in the day. Now 8 year old buy jtags and use them for a day to get up their ranks and sell it.

I get you bro, what I'm thinking is what if a scammer decides to buy a sticky and just because that person has a sticky everyone will think it's legit work.

You think just ANYONE can buy a sticky? lol, they get looked into thoroughly before a decision is made to whether they're allowed to purchase the sticky.
