Sarcist wrote Nice & for those saying this car is not rare it is? when do you see one of these bad boys drive about the streets?

You don't see Lambo's driving around on the streets often, are they rare?

- Stop production in 2002, not going to make another one ever.
(I understand it is not the holy grail, but uncommon)

Not a classic?
- tell the judges that. It was a classics and customs show. Some way nice 69' Camaros there too.

Poor mans sports car?
- for half the price of the Corvette it has the same engine and similar 0-60 and quarter mile times.
Source: online web pages and my dad owns a Corvette, also a trophy winner that night at a corvette show

Just because it stopped production less than 15 years ago does not make it rare. It means they don't make them anymore. You seen with the pic I posted, just in the Seattle area there are over 600 FOR SALE.

A classic car is an older car; the exact definition varies around the world. The Classic Car Club of America maintains that a car must be between 30 and 49 years old to be a classic, while cars between 50 and 99 fall into a pre-antique class, and cars 100 years and older fall into the Antique Class.

You said it yourself, HALF THE PRICE. Just like I said, poor mans sports car. To me nothing separates that car from a 1993 - 2002 Camaro.

Also, just because a vehicle stopped production does not mean it will never be made again. Look at the Ford GT. They stopped production of them in what? 06? They are now bringing them back in 2017.

- This isn't just a firebird...it is a Trans am with the WS6 performance package that was sent to a separate company to be installed.

- I don't know if you know this, but the 93-02 Camaro is the exact same as the firebird made between that year. Same engine, different body style. They are both GM cars. 4th generation F-bodies. Look it up.

- Example number 2. They also stopped making Camaros in 2002 with the firebird. But in 2009 pontiac (maker of the firebird) went out of business. In 2010 Chevy brought back the Camaro. So it is safe to say...no more birds of fire.

whoopdy do, like I said, it looks like a plain jane vehicle.

Because vehicles use the same engine does not make them the same lol. My F-150 has the 4.6L engine, the Mustang also used a 4.6L engine, and so did the Crown vic.

Beings that they are both GM manufacturers, Chevy may bring it back. Remember when Chevy bought out Geo? The Geo metro turned into the Chevy metro.

Oye...when I says same engine as the corvette, I mean the same exact engine...not just a 5.7 liter.

It is a 5.7 v8 LS1 engine.
The same exact LS engine in the Camaro, trans am, and corvette.

Sorry bud, it's not a "plain jane". That's your typical Honda,Toyota,Audi,BMW, I can't tell the difference between them, they all look like the same sedan.

To the owner it may be special, to the general public it's just another car with nothing special about it that we can see. It just blends in with everything else.

To me, I see it as a kick ass sports car that's great. Gives me corvette performance without the price. It is not "just another car with nothing special about it", it is a god damn beast. And hell, if it blends in with all others, then great, it's now a sleeper that can kick ass on the street; the Mustang killer.

Cool firebird btw, but you won first? How many people were you competing with?

I'm surprised you somehow beat that old 1950 ford coupe in the background.

And that sweet Monte Carlo in one of the photos. there was a corvette show across the way that had over 100 entries, where my dad won 2nd. Then there was a Customs + Classics show that had about 50 entries to compete with.

Thanks
