xWiz and 7aylor, both of you are right when it comes to supposed racism in the judicial system:
Overall, far more white people are executed in America, in favour of 7aylor's point.

However, when the defendant is white and the victim is black they are far less likely to get the death penalty than if the roles are reversed.
If a black person kills a white person they are more likely to get the death penalty, in favour of xWiz's point.

I'm not too sure whether I would agree with him being mentally ill.
This was obviously pre-meditated and controlled because he stopped and spoke to one of the people involved, mid-shooting.
He didn't explode in a violent fit of rage because he sat in the Bible study for an hour before he began shooting.
Of course I'll defer to the judgement of the psychologists who will surely analyse him, but I doubt they will declare him insane.
If the definition of insane when referring to murderers is 'Someone who acts in a way which leads to the deaths of other people, unknowingly' then I certainly don't consider him insane.

I'm going to refrain from commenting on whether or not he should be given the death penalty because I'm not sure which side of the fence I sit on any more.

7aylor wrote You're wrong. He should NOT be killed by the chair, lethal injection, firin squad, etc...

No human being has the right to say whether or not anoher human being lives or dies. Period.

Eh I mean I guess your right it just makes me mad because if this was a African American or Muslim they would get the chair

The politically correct term is, Arabic.

And no, not necessarily. The judicial system is not full of a bunch of racists.

Actually the correct term is Muslim. He is referring to the people who practice the religion. We associate terrorists with the Muslim society. Although this is highly offensive and wrong, people still think all terrorists are Muslims. So he is still correct in saying Muslims instead of Arabic.

The truth about terrorism is that anyone can be a terrorist. Not just Muslims which the media deeply misconstrues about the religion. In fact, you could argue that Christianity is just as much of a terroristic religion as Islam. (I am of the Christian faith, so I'm not hating on any Christians.)
