GTA IV Texture Loss

Title says it all really.
But just to be brief, I bought GTA IV a few days ago and it's been running relatively smooth besides the crashes from LCPDFR and stuff of that sort. Then today suddenly my building textures and like everything is just black. I don't see anything but my character, it's strange because I'm not like lagging either it's just that I can't see anything and it sucks.
So if anyone can help me out or direct me to the correct forum or something I'd appreciate it.
