I literally just there now, went out and cut the top of the hedge out my back garden. I used a ladder and reached out to cut them with the scissors. After I finished I grabbed the ladder and set it to the side and once i put it down I got almost like a really sore bruise feeling on the lower right side of my back. This is the first time my back has been this sore.

Added info: I'm 17 and for the past few weeks I have done nothing but sit at my computer, but i would usually be quite active playing football but now that the season is over I've been doing nothing.

anyone had anything like this back pains etc, and any tips on how i should treat this.

thanks in advance

So weird, but the advertisement below your topic was an ad for a back doctor.
And I think you might've hurt it while you were doing stuff in your garden.
If it still continues to be really sore after a week, you might want to get it checked out.

Lower back pain is common and I've had it before. For the next week or possibly few weeks, don't lift anything heavy. Also try to get a heating pad and use that to ease the pain. I'm sure it'll go away in a few days. If it doesn't make sure you contact a doctor.

Back pain can be a symptom of more severe problems, like kidney cancer. But I'm sure it's just From not being active, just go running or invite some friends over and play some football while your off season you know, get ready for when you start playing again.

Your body isn't used to sitting around. When you just sit around in a chair you are letting your discs in your spine compress and the pain you are feeling is them de compressing. When I have this problem, I go for stretches. Easiest and most effective for me is to get on hands and knees and raise each leg straight with my back for 30 seconds, 5 times each. The next day I am usually good.

The reason i can provide is that your sitting posture is not correct and maybe you sit like a hunchback (no offense) while using your computer because it is one of my reasons aswell and my family is full of doctors so I can't even argue with them
