My Items just got traded away while I was on vacation? How did this happen without email verification or me accepting the trade offer?

I did not accept that at all, there was no way I wasn't home. I didn't recieve a email alert on a login and I have steam guard enabled. And trade email verification. trade email verification.

edit-
sent a support ticket.

I would imagine they had access to your email account as well as Steam.

They would then be able to use the verification code, followed by deleting the email to prevent you knowing about the breach.

Contact Steam support, provide them with:

  • A link to your inventory history.
  • A link to the account the items were traded to.
  • Proof of account ownership (Card details, PayPal transaction IDs, etc.)

This will help them to resolve this faster.

send steam a ticket and wait it out, it's what i did. in the meantime i'd suggest factory resetting your pc just to be sure and then changing your steam and email passwords, i know it's a pain but if you're truely worried about it then it's probably best. steam got back to me in about 2 weeks after i submitted a ticket. They returned all of my items even after the person who had them traded them on. that person also received a trade ban.

this was a while ago on my old steam i didnt lose much but it was enough to annoy me.hope this helped and i feel bad for you, so many assholes in this world

Mr Steal Yo Girl? More like, Mr Steal Yo Skins! Ammarite? Seriously though, sorry about your luck, steam should be able to help you. If they say some bullshit about how it's your responsibility or some shit, keep pushing it, make sure you give them receipts from your vacation, show them pics of airline tickets, etc..

Ive seen this before. more than likely it was a steam stealer. It sends all your inventory to the person who built it. The expensive ones bypass steam guard and email some how. No idea how...
Like others have said, you should probably contact steam support.

Have you downloaded a program and opened it and nothing happened?

they give you 1 chance and a loyalty thing where they will return it, after that they wont return items again. sad but it's true although i see where they are coming from.

Make sure you don't have any keyloggers on your computer before you change any of you details, plus did you click on any links, random game invites or random teamspeak chats? because there are new ways they can get you items.

Just an update. The topic can be closed now cause I have got the support I have needed to get the items back. They have been returned to the rightful owner (Meh)
