It's bland, but the techniques you used aren't too shabby haha. The gradient in the background could also use a little softening. Like I said before, keep on working man!

Make the BG more softer and maybe grey?

You should soften up the background a little like what everyone is say. Overall, you did good and it looks clean!

Looks more like an avatar to me.

If it's an actual logo, it's not very good.
Just a plain old V in a plain old circle.

Also, you should give credit to the tutorial you used.
