Liability wrote I have Windows 8 and I prefer it over Windows 7 because I like the metro design. I have no problem with the operating system.

The only problem, or I should say, main problem, is how it deals with the control panel and such. I hate how much it transformed into a more tablet style OS. Meaning it's much less customizeable etc. It's trying to combine tablets with PCs which I just hate. I like how apple has different OS's for their computers and tablets. Windows 8 just trys to do it all in one.

And guess what? It is not clean, and doesn't work.
What do you mean it doesn't work? I have had it since last August and had no problem at all with it. (maybe it's the operator?)

By doesn't work, I mean it is just not that clean, having to switch between the tablet style home screen and the desktop interface is just not clean.

Install start menu 8, it is literally a life saver. It makes it just like windows 7 and even removes the metro tablet home screen.

Yeah, but as you said, it "makes it just like windows 7". Isn't changing the OS to be more like the older version the opposite of saying windows 8 is good. It is just like saying hey! Let's use windows 8, but make it just like windows 7 instead! I mean I love windows 8, when it is running just like windows 7!

So instead of downloading a simple software you rather waste time switching back to Windows 7?

Windows 8+ has so much better perks, and it runs smoother.

Before you start jumping to more conclusions on how shit windows 8 is, let me inform you on some good things about windows 8.

Windows 8 has a better interface, security, boot-time, performance, includes touch screen, apps, and the SkyDrive.

Windows 7 doesn't even come close to being better than Windows 8, it has soo many downfalls. I'm not going to go into detail on those downfalls, cause there are too many.

its not a bad os but theres so much more they could of done like not include the charm menu for desktop have a legit start menu (without a 3rd party app) as for the boot time windows 7 beats it not a fan of the interface i like to have a custom x max and minimize buttons custom start menu its sorta limited for that i could always get start8 but i dont like 3rd party stuff unless its steam and firefox but the main issue i have with it is the way you get to the cp its just not a good move atless in windows ten theres a legit start menu and a better search bar unlike 8s chimes(such a bad design) but the boot time is just my pc even though my pc has great parts(excluding my pos one it boots 7 like nothing boots 8 in 45min) my custom one is fully modded besides the look the look is god awful i just wish they never put the charm menu on the desktop one honestly 8 was more for xbox and mobile then desktop if you like it then cool me im not a fan of it i tried the 10 preview and half of the issues i had with 8 like user boot self remover and apps not working was fixed in that test that is why i dont like windows 8 or amd

I don't hate Windows 8, but I for sure do not like it. Windows 8 uses tiles which is great if you have a touchscreen or something like that (that is what it was originally made for) but, I much prefer the simplicity of Windows 7 as well as having the real start menu. I am not hating on those who like Windows 8, just stating my own personal opinion on the situation.
