Insurance group 2 mine is so it's virtually as cheap as you are gonna get. plus they are super cheap to insure after a few years and you can also get them on classic insurance, which is cheaper still.
I'd feel like im on the Italian Job, errm i might consider it actually, thanks for the suggestion. after 1/2 years your insurance goes down a lot so it might be good to have something like this for my first.

Mini's are cool but the price is far from cool. their not exactly cheap. My first car was an old mini for a while......then I wrapped it around a lamppost

fun little cars and can fixed with a adjustable spanner and some gold ole fashioned gaffer tape.

Well. I own a 2006 Fiat Punto Grande and is my first car. Over the year it is costing me 956GBP to insure.

When i was looking to buy my first car, it seemed the newer it was, the cheaper it was. This is down to safety aspects of the car ect.

It really depends how much you have to payout on your first car. If it's a couple of grand, then you could grab something that will last years and be cheap on insurance.

true they are expensive to acquire... but look at it like an investment. use it as a first, get some experience, DON'T RIP it and then sell it on after a while for more than what you payed for it.

if you need some help picking out a car, just send us a PM and I shall give you some nice options. Just let me know how much moolah you have.

PS: I could have gotten mine cheaper, but i went for the more expensive option as it had perks like windscreen and tyre protections.

MK4 Golf 1.4Litre.

either that or a Vauxhall Astra 1.4Litre SXI (2007/2008) is what I'm going for.

Both around 1700GBP insurance.

Don't go for a shitty 1.2 corsa like everyone else.

I'd keep the astra stock.

But with the golf I'd lower it, put some BBS alloys on and you're sorted.

Was looking at the MK4 for a while my favourite for a starter car atm but as Craig said another good option is a Punto Grande in which I'm gonna consider don't have the money to get one yet just wanted a few ideas like.
