Yeah it would be fine, as long as you're not running 4x msaa or ultra details.

I play most games on 4k with a single 770.

A 980 would be a dream to play on. 4k is not as hard to run as everyone makes out.

Thanks that mean's a lot from a loyal member. I was browsing around the Internet and people were saying that a single 980 would not run 4k but only just run 1440p

Those people were idiots. Pretty much anything can "run" 4k... But it's the settings you need to play around with.

Like there is almost no need for AA of any sorts at 4k, the resolution speaks for itself. + AA is for the weak.

A 270x will run 4k. It doesn't mean it's going to run it well. You'll have to turn some settings down but you'll still be able to get a playable experience with hella fly graphics. I'd still recommend a 970 over the 980 though since the 980 is not worth the premium over a 980, at all.

The 980 used in the benchmarks above was a reference card. The 970s were both underclocked to reference speeds so you should get better results than you'd expect from the graphs above, but the 980 still is not worth the $200+ premium over the 970 for very minimal performance increase.
