Hello,
So I have a flashed xbox 360 and I need a dashboard update to run Saints Row Gat Out of Hell.
Would it be safe to update to the latest 17150 dashboard with just a usb. II hear that some updates unflash the xbox so I dont know what to do.
My current dash:
2.16537.0 (Dashboard 16537)
DVD Drive: Philips-BENQ/LiteOn VAD6038 (99% sure)
I checked online that the Halo 3 edition xbox 360 has that and also opened the disk tray to check it.
I can run Far Cry 4 so I think I am running the latest flash
Thanks for all help!
+REP for good answers
EDIT: Far Cry 4 worked yesterday after starting it twice now that also needs an update
All my games say that they need to updated now

I know but I heard that you can't get the DVD key after update so I need to get that before updating the reflash it after update. I don't have any equipment to flash xbox so O want to make sure it's ok to update. I will give you 50 rep for the answer.

If your already on LT3.0 your good to go.
There was a Dashupdate that flashed your drive back to stock back when I was playing blops 1.
And that was way before Dashboard Update 2.0.16537.0

I'd recommend un-flashing your xbox, update your xbox, then flashing again.
And if you didnt flash it yourself then id take it to the guy/gal who did it for you and let him un-flash for you. this is just so the risk of un-flashing your xbox while update is removed from your problem.

I bypassed the dash update by taking all storage devices out of xbox then connecting USB while in game to sign in and save game. I just don't want to update it and lose flash. I can't flash the xbox myself.
