I wouldnt, i think 163k is just too much.
And when the engine light flashes there can many problems with the engine, so if you dont know much about cars, dont do it.

If you're buying a car like that you better be damn sure you check every single part of the car. Don't buy it until you figure out the issues.

I would double check every thing. But also 163K miles is alot so i would be careful.

Thats a damn good price on a WRX for 3200 IF it runs good. Is the noise just a squeal or a knock? If it's a knock, stay away. An 02 with 200k can fetch around 6K if it runs good. Subarus really hold there value.

Get the car hooked up to a computer and see what's wrong with the motor.
What kind of noise? Cars can make lots of noises, some mean a cheap fix, some mean an expensive fix.

i personally wouldnt too low for a wrx, theres going to be problems with it. unless you have more money to fix it, probably going to need a head gasket, and the turbo seals usually go around then, and who else knows what it needs, transmission, brakes, timing belt/water pump.

I wanted a wrx but i ended up getting a honda crv for now, once i save up more i would like to purchase one, but the crv is awd and does what it needs for me, especially hondas last longer as long as your changing your oil and doing basic maintenance

Year, color, wrx/sti, pics etc etc the car is worth more than $3200 in parts alone
