I'm thinking about building a new PC at the end of the school year, and I just wanted to see what you guys think of my build so far.

I kinda want to put a i7 4790k in the build but i'm not sure yet.

I would like to see your suggestions and opinions, so tell me what you think.

And I will mostly be using this PC to play games.

What I'd suggest

You don't need that overpriced motherboard but with that rebates it's not bad, I wouldn't touch that case with a 5 foot stick but its preference I guess also choose 8GB's of ram and choose a decent CPU cooler

I'd get something like this instead;

Spend the extra $100 on an i7 if you wish, but if you're not going to benefit from it, it's a waste. Also, shouldn't need an optical drive. You can easily get OS for free, which you should. Replace the CPU cooler with a Noctua NH-D15 if you wish, or a decent AIO. Spend $20 extra for the 750W XFX XTR, if you wish, but you don't really need to.

What would be a good CPU cooler? I have always heard good things about the hyper 212 evo so I put that in the build but what are some better ones?

Both coolers already suggested are good, as are many of the Noctua coolers. Any decent AIO will beat the 212 EVO. The 212 EVO is a low end cooler, it's great if you need an aftermarket cooler on a budget, but it does not belong in a $1k+ rig. I'd personally get a Kraken X61, because, well, I did. Enermax LiqTech 240 is also a great AIO, as are Cooler Master's AIO's with 240 or 280mm rads. Corsair Hydro series are alright, again, with either 240 or 280mm rad.

I was just looking at the kraken x61. I would be interested in using a liquid cooler. was it easy to setup and get going? it looks like a great product.

Yes. It's a closed loop cooler, so no difficulty with installation.
