PZ7 wrote First of all why would the gun have a bullet in the chamber? All responsible gun owners need to know that you need to keep a gun somewhere safe, and keep it on the safety. If you get into a situation where you need to use the gun all you have to do it flip the safety and then chamber the bullet.

Its really sad to see stories like this but the parents are really to blame. Such a sad time to live in where dumb people have the ability to let their own children get hurt and die.

That kind of gun would most likely not have a safety since it is a revolver-type handgun. All it takes is for the weapon's charging handle to be pulled down-wards and the trigger pulled for the gun to go off.

Poor boy, he looks so innocent.

I wish gun owners with small children can take heed from reading this.

Hopefully it never happens again.

Definately the parents are the ones who are at fault here, it really is a tragedy to read this story, but if you own guns and have kids, how is that not the biggest priority to make sure your guns are in a safe place where your children cannot get ahold of
