Could anyone tell me why my laptop that's 1080p resolution looks more vibrant and detailed than my smartphone that has 4K resolution it just doesn't make sense.
I can understand the devices screen sizes are different but the 4k is being beaten by 1080p also the pixel density is higher on the phone.

I'm not aware of any 4K phone screens on the market yet, so my guess is your phone is 1080p or at most QHD (1440x2560). The camera might shoot 4K, but resolution is not the most important factor with cameras, either.
Resolution != quality and there are other factors that might make one screen look better than another.
