Breaking_Bad wrote Its just the playoffs if it was the championship then I would make sense. That's what happens if a state wins the superbowl everyone get a fay off but I will vote.

It is the Championship...

Ohio State beat Alabama 35-42

Oregon beat Florida State 20-59

Those 2 play in the Championship on Monday, January 12th at 8:30PM EST

Thank you for explaining this lol

WAIT...

I just realized, while signing the petition, that it says you get the 13th off? Why not the 12th, the day of the game?

A average football game last about 3 and a half hours, that means it would be midnight when the game ends! Plus it's the championship, the halftime will be longer with more commercials, so it will probably be 12:30 when it's over! So everyone will be tired the day after from staying up late! That's why they want it closed day after!

That would work the same way a snow day would work. You get one day off now, but you'll get another day to make it up at the end of the school year which would have been summer break. Not worth it in my opinion
