Right so we can all agree COD has took a big step with Advanced Warfare but I am find it very hard to play online. I have found pretty much every other multiplayer COD easier to play well and get good K/D`s and XP, but with AW I seem to be restricted to that, I get kills but I die an awful lot and the game doesnt feel right for me, anyone got any tips/tricks to make me a lot better?

I would say that its really just about how aware you are about the map, maybe invest in some good headphones or try to get better at recognizing the sounds. A big tip I have is to play a game mode enjoyable to you, I love search and destroy but a lot of people do t care for it c: Most importantly is to have fun lol
